DRMC Leads Redemptorist Cebu Province’s Renewable Energy Initiative

The Davao Redemptorist Mission Community (DRMC) marked a significant milestone in its commitment to environmental stewardship with the Blessing and Commissioning of two newly installed 30KWp Solar Hybrid Systems with 60KWh LiFePOâ‚„ batteries on July 31, 2026. The new renewable energy systems will provide sustainable power to the Church complex and the Parish Pastoral Building.

The commissioning ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. Edilberto Cepe, C.Ss.R., Provincial Superior. He was joined by representatives of the Parish Pastoral Council, Church Council, members and staff of the Davao Redemptorist Mission Community, and representatives from the project’s service provider and partner, Caresystem Technology Solution Co., Inc., led by its Chairman of the Board of Directors, Engr. Arman Capin, MBA.

The installation of the solar hybrid systems represents more than an infrastructure improvement. It reflects the Redemptorist Congregation’s ongoing commitment to the vision of Laudato Si’ by promoting environmental responsibility and caring for creation. Through the adoption of renewable energy, the community seeks to strengthen its mission of service while contributing to the protection of the environment.

As the pilot site for the renewable energy initiative, the Davao Community will pave the way for similar projects across the Apostolic Units of the Redemptorist Province of Cebu. The expansion of the program aims to support a more sustainable future for the Province’s mission and ministry through the wider adoption of clean and renewable energy.
