The Saint Alphonsus Theological and Mission Institute (SATMI) in Davao City, Philippines, officially opened Academic Year 2026–2027 with the celebration of the Mass of the Holy Spirit, entrusting the entire academic community to God’s loving guidance and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Edilberto Cepe, CSsR, SATMI Director, together with the concelebrating priests: Rev. Fr. Neil J. Badillo, OFM, SATMI Dean of Studies; Rev. Fr. Sonny Umbac, CSsR, Redemptorist Formator; Rev. Fr. Leo Armada, CSsR, Redemptorist Rector; Rev. Fr. Ronnell L. Macaldo, TOR, Formator; and Rev. Fr. Tim Melliza, SSP, SATMI Professor.

The Mass marked the beginning of another year of theological study, human and spiritual formation, and missionary preparation. As the SATMI community embarks on this new academic year, may the Holy Spirit continue to guide its students, faculty, formators, and staff in the pursuit of wisdom, faithful discipleship, and generous service to the Church and the mission.
